You are likely aware of many of the issues that marriages and families are facing in the U.S.:

• In Los Angeles, the Second District Court of Appeals declared it illegal for parents without teaching certificates to home school their own children.
• Also in California, the Supreme Court approved of marriage between two women or two men.
• McDonalds recently became a “corporate partner” of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce!

Some of the Critical issues outside of the U.S.

• It is felt that there could be 100 million AIDS orphans in Africa alone by 2020.
• Some nations approve of infant killing, spousal abuse, multiple spouses, and even rape as a “normal” experience.
• In Russia, because of the communist history, marriages end in divorce 90% of the time.
• In some countries incest is not only permitted, but expected.
